NumberOnePenventon Terms and Conditions of Rental

Please ensure you read and fully understand these booking terms and conditions. If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.

  • A provisional reservation can be made by email or phone call and can be held for 48 hours after which it will be cancelled if the deposit is not paid. 
  • A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing by email along with our Terms & Conditions. 
  • The owner reserves the right to refuse a booking if it is deemed that the accommodation might not be suitable for the intended stay. (Holiday)
  • A reservation is confirmed by email once we have received the following. An acknowledgement of receipt of the Terms & Conditions and either a deposit payment, or full payment. 
  • Any deposit or payment made in respect of a booking is deemed to confirm acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • 30% of rental costs are due at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. (NB if the booking is less than 6 weeks before the date of arrival then the full amount is to be paid at the time of booking).
  • Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under eighteen years of age.
  • A £200 Damages Deposit is required before your check in date. This will be returned 7 – 10 days after departure, subject to a satisfactory property inspection. This process also applies to late bookings. In the event of damages attributed to the guest or a member of their party during their stay, the owner shall notify this to them as quickly as possible together with any evidence. The cost of any remedial action shall be deducted from the Damages Deposit and the balance refunded. 
  • Payment by bank transfer. Details for payment will be forwarded once a confirmed booking is made.
  • The full details, including the address, comprehensive directions and key collection arrangements shall be sent one week prior to arrival once full payment has been received.

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be notified in writing. 
  • If the balance due is not paid 8 weeks prior to your booking date, the booking may be cancelled, and your deposit forfeited.
  • Cancellations up to 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday will result in your deposit being refunded.
  • Cancellation up to 6 weeks before your holiday start will result in the forfeit of your deposit.
  • Cancellations less than 6 weeks before arrival will result in the forfeit of the total rental unless the property is re-booked, then the rental will be returned. 
  • Your booking will not be cancelled by us except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
  • In all cancellation cases by us, damages deposits will be returned. 

General

  • Prices quoted are for a group of up to 5 people maximum. No parties or events. 
  • Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times. 
  • No pets allowed.
  • No smoking allowed.
  • Please park your vehicles in the designated parking space, ensuring cars do not block access to other properties. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles.
  • All bookings are accepted on the condition that the accommodation is left in a clean and tidy condition and that all breakages and damage are reported immediately.
  • The guest agrees to respect their surroundings and not to disturb or otherwise annoy the occupants of neighbouring properties.
  • We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
  • This property is privately owned and is our home. We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own house.
  • Electricity is metered and you will need £1 or £2 coins. There will be £20 worth of electricity on the meter on your arrival.
  • Please do not come straight from beach into the Crow’s Nest shower as it gets blocked with sand easily.

Please note there is no reception for mobile phones or a telephone land line in the bungalow.
